In 2002 I decided to make some extra money selling eBooks on the Internet. I bought a couple of eBook packages and I used the descriptions that came with them (of course :), to list them on eBay. It wasn’t actually that hard for money to start rolling in. I subscribed to a hosting provider and I setup a quick website; nothing fancy.
About a week later, when my auctions ended, I uploaded my eBooks to my website and composed an email like this one:

You see, once I tapped into the power of "Buy Now", I started generating sales at all hours of the day and night.
All of a sudden I was so busy sending emails to my customers with the download links that my "extra income opportunity" was starting to look like a second job!
The more time I spent sending email to customers, the less fun I was having.
I started to think "Surely there must be some software that will take care of this for me." But I was wrong.
Now I'm no genius but, when it comes to computers and technology -- I'm smarter than the average bear. Maybe that's because I have a double degree in both Computer Science and Mathematics. So, if a geek like me was hitting the wall, I realized that there was no way that I could be alone with my problems.
They say that "necessity is the mother of invention" and, whoever "they" are, they were right. So I rolled up my sleeves, stuck my pocket protector into my pocket, and wrote a program to automate the product delivery process.
I admit that in the beginning the program was "quick and dirty". After all, I had written it just for me. I built in the basic requirements that I needed but it wasn't "pretty" and it didn't have a lot of the features that I wanted it to have but didn't have time to build into the program.
But then something happened...
The more I used the program, the more time I seemed to have. So I decided to spend some of that time making my little program even better.

The software knows where to put your customer's name, last name and other info automatically. (I hope you didn't think I was doing that manually!). It is very important to address to your customers by name. It creates a sense of security and makes them feel closer to you so they will come back and buy again. Try that with Outlook :)

Does it work with regular auctions where the final price may vary?
Yes! For this specific reason, I added the ability to setup an item to be sent if a minimum price has been met. For example let’s say you start an auction at $15.00, then you set up your item to be sent only if price paid was greater than $15.00. Or if you have a reserve price you may setup your item to be sent if an amount greater than the reserve price has been paid. You also have choice to add shipping costs and setup rules on when to send an item or not
No Limit To the Number Of Items You can Have for Sale
There is no limit to the number of items you can sell at one time. Some people claim that PayPal limits the number of eBooks that you can sell to eight or some other weird number. What? I have been selling hunderds of eBooks simultaneously, having thousands in my inventory, and PayPal never complained!
